Salvo Brass was formed in November 2002 and has continued to
grow and is now entering its 7th season. Formed
initially to take part in the
‘traditional’ Whit Friday Marches around the Saddleworth area,
the band has established itself and is in demand for various
charity concerts, such as Dr.Barnordo’s, Clarence Ado and for
various Salvation Army centre's and Churches.
The band continues to draw its player from the East Midlands
area primarily with SA roots. July 2008 saw the band produce a
3rd CD –
Salvo Goes Solo –
which featured the band’s soloists! This year it is again
looking forward to producing another CD.
John Broadhurst continues to leads the band for another busy season with concerts in Kibworth, Sapcote, Stotford and Burton-on-Trent.
